Japan Blue is one of the labels started by the Japan Blue Group - also responsible for the COLLECT fabrics and Momotaro Jeans. After mainly being a fabric manufacturer for other denim brands and high fashion labels, Japan Blue Group bought a couple of vintage looms and sewing machines, and started manufacturing jeans.
Using the same fabrics as their big brother Momotaro, sourced from their own COLLECT, Japan Blue creates more contemporary and slim cuts, at a modest price point. Several of our colleagues own one or more pairs of Japan Blue Jeans, and we can say from our very own experience: they last for years and are like a good bottle of wine: getting better and better with age. The cotton used for Japan Blue is mainly harvested in Zimbabwe, giving it a nice texture, and due to the length of the cotton, the jeans are amongst the strongest in the market, yet still relatively lightweight.
