Libertine-Libertine is the brand by the three Danish owners, our good friends Rasmus Bak, Pernille Schwarz and Peter Munch Ovesen. It is absolutely dedicated to creativity without borders or restrictions. After gaining some experience at other clothing labels in the industry, they decided to share their thoughts and ideas on clothing with the rest of the world.
It was founded in 2009 by the trio who sought to create a brand based on “existentialism, high quality and well-designed products”. Libertine-Libertine may be a relative newbie in the clothing industry, but their core values and principles of keeping the essence close to the classics while creatively using inspiration from contemporary culture is admirable. Collections thus far have seen combinations of seasonal styles and perennial classics with a twist. Their clothes are stylish and comfortable. Libertine-Libertine succeeds season after season by creating an exciting collection, without doing concessions to the brand’s sleek aesthetic. Unsurprisingly, their fan base is rapidly expanding and certainly includes us.
