Tenue. and Alpha Industries joined hands to collaborate on the iconic MA-1 Bomber Jacket. Infused with love for the brand and fueled by nostalgia, the MA-1 Bomber version by Tenue. is a tribute to the Amsterdam underground, encapsulating the spirit of rebellious uproar and the confidence to celebrate (artistic) freedom without limitations. If an Alpha jacket can withstand what culture puts it through, you can rest assured it will meet your needs too.

Punk became widely influential again in Europe in the early 90s. Following the NYC hardcore and LA Punk Rock explosion, Europe was taken over by bands like Agnostic Front, Madball, Rancid, Black Flag, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, and Cro-Mags. In the time predating the internet and social media, the only way to find new inspiration for new music, clothing and style was by analyzing the record covers of those bands.
Military gear became widely available during the late 20th century and the MA-1 became a must-have for both the punk rock and Hardcore scene: There was simply no way around Alpha Industries subcultures.
"We went in deep. These punkbands were often seen wearing befriended band shirts, jeans, khakis, leather jackets, bomber jakcets, sneakers, and army boots. Being from small towns in the Netherlands, all we wanted to know was how those cats were living their lives in NYC and LA. The pictures of our heroes wearing Alpha bomber jackets were so iconic. When the MA-1 became a must-have for both the Punk and Hardcore (Oi!) subculture, Skateboard scene, as well as the Hardcore House music scene, there was no way around Alpha Industries. We would fight within our groups to have dibs on the Alpha colorways. Who was wearing the Black, Burgundy, or Sage? Well, and there was me, wearing the Sage green religiously. It became my daily driver, I wore it to bits” – Rudy Ross, co-owner Tenue. and music connaisseur.
The Business (Oi! Punk)
The Tenue. x Alpha Industries jacket takes flight style out of the ordinary. The outer shell of the boxy silhouette carries a custom made green Sage Green colorway, reminiscent of Alpha Industries’ signature Sage hue. Wrapped in nylon and reversible to reveal the iconic orange satin lining, this is a reference to the jacket’s military past to help downed pilots be spotted. To finish, the Bomber aesthetic is complete with a co-branded removable flight zipper pull and Tenue. embroidered logo and debossed button detailing. Today, in 2023, the MA-1 is still one of those timeless icons. Copied by many, but there’s only one true original.
