Our southern neighbour Christian Wijnants launched his brand in Antwerp in 2003. Renowned for innovative knitwear, striking prints, and a vibrant colour palette, his womenswear collections embody ease, freedom, and fluidity. Drawing inspiration from Antwerp’s cultural heritage, each versatile piece showcases timeless design and effortless elegance.
Christian Wijnants, an Antwerp-based fashion designer born in Brussels, moved to Antwerp in 1996 to study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His graduate collection won the Dries Van Noten Award in 2000. After graduation, he won the Grand Prix at the Festival d'Hyères. In 2003, he launched his eponymous label.
Known for rich graphics and fresh colors in his knitwear, Christian's work blends authenticity and luxury, earning him the 2013 International Woolmark Prize, the 2006 ANDAM Award, and the 2005 Swiss Textiles Award.
