During World War 2, René Cléon, the founder of Kleman, was imprisoned for five years. While in captivity, he started making small leather shoes. After his release after the war, Cléon gathered a team and bought his first sewing machines to expand his business. In 1988, Kleman officially launched and has been making quality shoes ever since. Some of their boots and derbies have kept the same style since 1988. At Tenue de Nîmes we stand for timeless workwear, that’s why Kleman finds its place perfectly in our selection.
