The Authentic 44 Siped Vibram reinterprets Vans’ original deck shoe through a performance-focused OTW lens. Rooted in the heritage of the Authentic silhouette first introduced in 1966, the design maintains its clean, low-profile proportions while incorporating technical updates that enhance durability, grip, and everyday functionality.
The upper combines sturdy canvas with raw-edge leather detailing. A leather toe panel reinforces the front of the shoe, adding structure and durability while introducing a subtle material contrast. The canvas body keeps the silhouette lightweight and breathable, while the leather elements develop character over time with wear.
Traditional lacing with tonal metal eyelets maintains the classic Authentic construction, while refined internal updates provide a smoother and more comfortable fit. The overall design remains clean and balanced, preserving the iconic proportions of the original silhouette while introducing subtle technical refinements.
The Authentic 44 Siped Vibram is built on a custom Vibram vulcanized outsole featuring a micro-siped tread pattern developed to disperse water and improve traction on wet or slippery surfaces. This updated sole unit enhances grip and stability while maintaining the lightweight, low-profile feel that defines the Authentic silhouette.
