The American brand realized there was a growing market for ‘vintage’ denim and responded with the release of replicas of classic Levi’s jeans. In hindsight, this was the launch of the Levi’s Vintage Clothing sublabel, abbreviated as LVC. Yet still producing in small and very limited quantities, the Californian brand started to rebuild their denim archive, dating back to the 19th century. The result is an unprecedented tale of denim manufacturing, making jeans and other clothing, that has a true vintage appeal and breathes the denim history where Levi’s is so renowned for.
