Universal Works was inspired by David Keyte’s formative years growing up in a provincial midlands town in the seventies, part of a working class family that loved to dress wel; seeing his dad and uncles in their work-wear and also when dressing up for the weekend. Most of the designs are based on silhouettes from this era of David's life that he grew to love.
